KARAYİP'LER DE PİLATES VE YOGA EĞİTMENİ OLMAK

Güzel canlar nasılsınız Mudanya'daki studio'mu kapatıp beni davet ettikleri Karayipler'deki Canouan adasındaki Soho house'da pilates ve yoga eğitmenliği yapmaya başladım. Üçüncü ayımı neredeyse bitireceğim burada. Ada'da köy hayatı yaşıyorum. Kuzuların ve de horozların sesleriyle uyanıyorum. Ada hayatı fazlaca sakin ve sessiz geçiyor. Gelen misafirlerimize iyi hizmet etmek için çalışıyoruz. Aynı zamanda Below Desk adı altında yatta yapılan bir reality show'da yoga eğitmeni olarak görev yaptım. Yeni sezonda yayında olucakmış Netflix'te. Ada hayatının bana hediyesi yarım kitabımı bitirmek oldu. Şuan da editörle çalışmalarımız devam ediyor. Memlekete döndüğümde muhtemelen basımı için olan evreye girmiş olacağım. Bu süreç tatlı heyecanlar veriyor.Beni takip ettiğiniz için teşekkür ederim. Principles of Pilates
Although there is no mention of Joseph Pilates listing an order of principles 
for Contrology, over the years instructors have keyed in on six focal points 
used within each exercise, regardless of whether the exercise is performed 
on the floor or any of the pieces of Pilates equipment.
We’ll go into more detail about how to incorporate these principles directly 
into your athletic training in chapter 5.
Six Pilates Principles
1. Breathing—This releases stress from your body, creates a deeper 
connection to your core, and releases stiffness within your spine.
2. Centering—By physically bringing your focus to the center of your 
body, also known as your powerhouse, you feel the connection 
between the front and back of the body, and from your ribs to your 
pubic bone.
3. Concentration—By staying present in what you are doing at that 
moment you can focus on each exercise and its purpose.
4. Coordination—Coordinating your brain and body, and your breath and 
your movement, increases your brain’s control of your body’s move￾ment and dynamic function.
5. Flow—Each Pilates movement should be smooth and fluid. The exer￾cises should flow from one movement to the next without the feeling 
of stopping and starting each exercise.
6. Precision (otherwise known as control)—Work with flow, not momen￾tum. Control, rather than intensity or repetition, is key to performing 
the exercises correctly. Perform all of your movements with precision 
to gain the maximum benefits.

MALDiV'ler de Pilates ve Yoga Egitmeni Olmak....

Merhaba guzel canlar,

Voleybol kariyerimi biraktiktan sonra Amsterdam, Bursa arasinda mekik dokuyup. Pilates ve yoga studio'su için attiğim adimlarda Covid'in galip gelmesiyle kendimi Maldiv'lerde buldum. Hayatin akisiyla gitmeye basladigimda ve o alttaki kontrol mekanizmasi dedigimiz super ego'ya bir tanik olarak kalmaya basladigimdan beri büyük bir dönüsümün eşiğinde olduğumu hissediyorum. Biraz daha açmak istedim bu konuyu. Doğudugumuzda bize anne babamiz koruma altina alip ihtiyaçlarimizi karşilar. Sonrasinda çocuk yaştayken  kendimize  bir koruma kalkani gelistiririz. Bunu yemeliyim, yememeliyim. Şunu boyle yaparsam beni severler, yapmazsam dişlanirim diye surekli konuşan bir iç yargiç geliştiririz. Işte bu iç yargicini iyi tanidiktan sonra altta surekli ayni calan plağa karsi bir adim geri durduğunda taniklik başlamiş oluyor ve kayitlar dönüşmeye başliyor. Işte bu bizi korumaya calistigini sandiğimiz super egomuzdan yani konfor alanimizdan cikip kendimize karşi biraz daha tanık kalıp, özgür bir alan açmiş oluyoruz, bu alan  özgürleşebildiğimiz yerdir. Ben size Maldiv adalari maceralarimi anlatacaktim lakin super ego yazisiyla başlamiş oldum. Bu ada'da dunya'da ilkkez denenen bir konseptle saglikli yasam merkezi kurulmustur ve beni de ada'nin mind and body specialist olarak goreve davet etmislerdir. Ada wellbeing retreat resort olarak gözüküyor. Reklam motorlarlarina takilmamak icin ada'nin ismini vermek istemedim. Lakin cennettin bir köşesinde pilates ve yoga dersi vermek keyifli olabiliyor. Simdilik bir kaç foto paylaşimi yaparak. Blogumu kisaca bitirmek istedim. Sevgiler.

The Story of Joseph Pilates

Joseph Pilates was born December 9, 1883 in Mönchengladbach (near Düsseldorf), 
Germany. His Greek father was a prize-winning gymnast and his German mother was 
said to be a naturopath.
As a child, Joseph had asthma and contracted rickets and rheumatic fever. He 
was determined to overcome his ailments, and, at a young age, researched ways to 
become bigger, stronger, and healthier. He educated himself in anatomy, bodybuild￾ing, wrestling, yoga, gymnastics, and martial arts. Over time, he developed an almost 
Adonis-like body. His physique was so developed that at the age of 14, he posed for 
anatomy charts.
Joseph was enamored by the classical Greek ideals of a man, someone who was 
balanced equally in body, mind, and spirit. He was convinced that the modern lifestyle, 
bad posture, and inefficient breathing were the root of poor health. To combat these 
problems, he designed a series of exercises that incorporated his vast knowledge of 
the human body to correct muscular imbalances and improve posture, coordination, 
balance, strength, and flexibility as well as to increase breathing capacity and organ 
function.
In 1914, after World War I broke out, he was interned along with other German 
nationals in a camp for enemy aliens in Lancaster, England. It was at this time that 
he began devising a system of original exercises and called this regimen Contrology, 
meaning the complete coordination of the body, mind, and spirit. During this time, 
Joseph refined his ideas and trained others to perform his exercises. He rigged springs 
to hospital beds, which allowed bedridden patients to exercise using the resistance 
to create stability or mobility depending on the case. Following his release at the 
war’s end in 1918, Joseph returned to Germany and continued to refine his fitness 
methods. Word of his success grew and he was hired by the city of Hamburg to train 
their policemen.
In 1926, Joseph immigrated to the United States. He met his future wife, Clara, on 
the boat to New York City. Together they opened the first Contrology studio in Manhat￾tan, in the same building as several dance studios. Joseph’s studio became the place 
dancers went to rehabilitate their injuries and train. They were sent to him to be “fixed.”
Joseph was both inventive and resourceful and spent the rest of his life perfecting 
the art of Contrology, now known as Pilates. He designed and crafted many pieces 
of equipment that we still use today in Pilates studios and physical therapy facilities 
around the world. Spring tension is used for resistance or assistance, straps hold feet 
or hands, supports and pads hold the back, neck, and shoulders in correct alignment. 
Pilates equipment is a great complement to the Pilates mat work, which is considered 
more difficult for some people than Pilates exercises on the equipment. During Pilates 
mat work you rely on your body’s own strength and flexibility to perform each move, 
and the springs on the Pilates equipment provide both the assistance and resistance 
needed for each of the Pilates exercises.
Joseph died in 1967 of advanced emphysema from smoking cigars for too many 
years. Clara continued to teach and run the studio until she passed away in 1977. 
The exercises they originally designed are still used as models for the work we do 
today. Each exercise has a stability piece and a mobility piece, and the fluidity of each 
movement increases endurance, breath control, strength, and flexibility. All key pieces 
enhance the quality of movement for athletes and nonathletes alike. Pilates is one of 
the only comprehensive exercise programs in which you work and stretch simultane￾ously instead of working out first and stretching after.
Today, millions of people use Pilates as not only a form of therapy, but also as a 
main component of their training program. What a great testament to Joseph Pilates. 
He really was someone who was ahead of his time. 


What is Pilates ?

Pilates, originally called contrology, was created by Joseph Pilates. İn his 1945 book, RETURN TO LİFE CONTROLOGY, he presents his method as 'the art of controlled movements, which should look and feel like a workout (not a therapy) when properly manifested. 'When practiced with consistency. Pilates will improve your flexibility, build greater strength and will help you develop balance, control and endurance within your entire body. The core, consisting of the muscles of the abdomen, low back and hips is often can modify Pilates exercises from beginner to advanced as well as develop programs based on your goals and limitations. The intensity of your Pilates workout will increase over time as your body adapts.

What is Yoga ?






Is yoga a philosophy or belief? Although there is a lot of discussion, according to many sources, yoga is not a religion or belief system. By exploring the scriptures that mention that everything in the universe can be interconnected, their actions through yoga-meditation and mentioning the ethical principles for a meaningful life; It shows us the map leading to awareness and enlightenment.
